PVD: 12 years
Chromed /Satin Chrome/Stainless steel: 10 Years
Nickel (Brushed Steel, Stainless steel): 5 years
Colonial: 5 years
Painting / Aluminum: 1 year
This guarantee applies only for products purchased from January 2006, as long as in compliance with the items of guarantee.
MAINTENANCE:
Use a soft and dry cotton cloth. In no case use steel wool or any cleaning product, such as alcohol.
CLARIFICATION:
All metal tends to oxidation where there is heavy flow of people. In coastal regions, this process is accelerated due to high humidity and to salt in the air. For these cases, it is very important to prefer metals that provide superior finish with more resistance to oxidation. The chrome and polished stainless steel finishes are recommended. To preserve the beauty of Altero metals for longer time, it is essential to do a biweekly maintenance applying colorless automotive wax, especially in coastal regions. Besides, to maintain the durability and functionality, it is essential that the installation is correct, following the installation guide that comes with it. In case of doubt, contact Altero.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE TERM:
1 - To qualify under the guarantee term, the presentation of the Purchase Invoice is essential.
2 - Altero® products are guaranteed against flaws and/or manufacturing defects, under the condition that the consumer has complied with the established conditions of installation and use, as well as legal advice and relevant uses and customs.
3 - In all cases, the guarantee period is counted from the date of purchase, showed on the invoice, regardless of the consumer may or not have used the product.
4 - Only the Altero® customer service department and authorized representatives are entitled to carry out maintenance and repair services. Not acting accord to the described in this item implies total loss of the guarantee.
5 - Painted products are more susceptible to scratches, wear due to the use/abrasion, yellowing and matting when near to heat sources than the other finishes.
6 - Exceptions from the guarantee:
a) goods damaged by transportation, handling, installation or improper use;
b) lost products, incomplete or that have suffered accidents;
c) defects caused by incorrect maintenance carried out by unauthorized person or company;
d) improper installation and/or lack of adequate periodic cleaning;
e) use of non-original parts, in whole or in conjunction with parts of another manufacturer not indicated by Altero®;
f) adaptation and finishing with parts and/or products not manufactured by Altero®;
g) damage arising from the use of cleaning products and corrosive cleaning, abrasives, solvents, or products containing chlorine or soda in their composition, or hits, falls, installation and/or improper handling;
h) products installed in places where water is considered untreated for consumption conditions or containing impurities, substances or objects which may result malfunction of the product;
i) damage resulting from attempted burglary and violation;
j) broken screw due to the incorrect application;
l) for water taps and showers, when the pressure exceeds the limit indicated in the instructions accompanying the product.
7 - Featuring up the situation as covered by the legal guarantee or the additional guarantee, Altero® is responsible for replace parts, repair and/or change of the damaged product, as long as the consumer delivers the product at its head office and reports detailed the problem and possible causes and the use conditions.
8 - Even when dealing with products under guarantee, in no hypothesis Altero® is going to reimburse transport costs, posting or communication made by the consumer or dealer.
9 - Altero® products that are installed in public places and/or used in environments with aggressive atmosphere, such as coastal regions, are going to have the half of the whole guarantee coverage period.
10 - Leather (natural) is a coating applied in Altero metals, and it is natural to wear over time. For maintenance, use only soft and dry cloth, because the leather cannot wet.
11 - Coconut, horn, bone, leather or crystal appliqués should be under shelter of the sun.
12 - Parts subject to normal wear such as seals, gaskets and sealing mechanisms are not covered by the guarantee term.
13 - Altero® also reserves the rights to change all or part of its products, aiming its improvement, whenever it is appropriate, without prior notice, not resulting in any right to consumers to reclaim.
14 - Products not manufactured by Altero follow the deadline set by the CDC (Brazilian Consumer Protection Code).
